Tidying up does not necessarily ends up with finding skeletons but some forgotten folders with treasure. It was the mid 80s, when my parents started engaging in photography, turning grandma's bathroom into a darkroom.

My mother applied for a photography course, during which the photos above were taken - the left one by mom featuring a part of the statue, which is in front of the Hungarian National Museum. The right one is of my mom taken by unknown. Both pictures were developed by my father.

I guess this is where it applies: like father like ~~son~~ daughter.

There's one thing I don't like about our cam. It's too heavy to bring it with myself every day. But I don't always mind it. My phone's cam is always available.

The picture above was taken last week at Moszkva tér. The man is holding a pigeon, which is wrapped in a plastic bag. The bird was alive and seemed to be okay. He was stroking and talking to it.

I was wondering what his intentions could have been if he had any with the bird.

I would still be standing there if the bus didn't come...

The eighth university exam period of mine has just started, but still certain exams can make me feel anxious, and spend the breakfast with re-reading notes. Monday, being the less favoured day of the week, was rainy, and started with an exam at one of Hungary's ex-ministers of foreign affairs (adding info to make the entry look how serious my education is ahahh...)

But this little fellow decided to get dry in front of my window and have some eye contact with me. Who cares about exams when such photograble (sicK) moments occur...

I remember being asked long ago about the colour, which makes me feel good. I said blue. The many shades of turquoise. I certainly like the blue in this particular shot. The type of blue I like reminds me of the sky and water, when it is all clear and deep.

Loving colours is not only about the colour itself. I like the sky when it has striking white clouds or before it gets stormy. Plain colours themselves are boring. Having the lights on gives the sunset a unique sensation that lasts for a couple minutes only. Fortunately. That's what makes it prettier.

This is a Common Kingfisher. This wee creature lives in our street because it is halved by a ditch, which attracted the herons, as well.

In Hungarian it's called 'jégmadár' that literally means ice bird, just like its German equivalent - Eisvogel.

This is the best and closest shot I managed to take of it. It flies with a speed of 35km/h and it becomes swift when it hears the cam's shutter or my steps.

Anyway, these are the "bird days", more bird shots are waiting to be posted.

There was a time when I wanted to become an ornithologist.
